Hillsdale Rises in Rankings

While I dislike the extreme emphasis placed on rankings by many college applicants, rankings can often be a useful proxy for the well-being, stability, and academic quality of a college. So it should be no surprise that Hillsdale has jumped from #83 National Liberal Arts college in 2014 to #69 in this year's US News ranking! (If memory serves, they were ~#100 in 2013-- they are most definitely an up-and-coming school.)

Other facts and statistics:

--72% of the classes have fewer than 20 students, and only 1% have more than 50.
--For a school of its caliber, Hillsdale is extremely affordable-- tuition as of this year is $24,000/year, with room and board coming in at around $10,000 (not taking into account the abundant financial aid and merit scholarships.)
--In the Princeton Review Rankings, Hillsdale is ranked in the top 10 for Professors Get High Marks, Most Accessible Professors, and Happiest Students.
