Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

...means the fear of long words. Now that I've given you that incredibly useful piece of information, could you give me a piece of information of approximately equal use?... chances!

Essays: End of the world one was a fictionalized account of being born. Optional essay was about a book I tried to write. Got up to page 100 and then it kind of died. Wrote about the experience of failing but loving the whole thing and learning from it.

:) Thanks! And please don't hate me...

I hate you.

You depress me.

I either like you or I hate you, and it has nothing to do with you depressing me. Are you ENTP or ESFJ?

Ugh... New Jersey,

What! Someone have a problem? Want'eh fight about it?

really I just felt like saying something useless.

ENTP or ESFJ? Sorry... what's that?

La Montagne, chances look great to me, FWIW. (At least a bump)

Sounds familiar....... :)

ENTP, ESFJ are Myers Brigg Personality indicators popularized
by the book "Please understand Me".

E= Extroverted (as opposed to I, introverted)

NT= rational thinker or something like that
versus
SF= touchy feely person

P= intuitive ... likes to intutitively solve things
versus
J= judgemental person ....more process oriented

INTJ for me...I hated that touchy, feely MBA crap.

Oh and OP, awesome stats and ECs...I wonder how you even find time to post on these boards.

Good luck!

I think, given that your activities are unique and not standard fare, and your scores/numbers are sick, I think you have a good shot. In addition, you are a girl, which means your chances of admission doubles. Not to say that it is unfair of course...girls applying to MIT tend to be more qualified than guys in general. The girls at MIT have a higher GPA average than the guys. In fact, on CC, the girls who post their stats for MIT tend to be higher than the guys who do. Something I've noticed.

I'd put some good money on your chances, actually

good luck!

Would you still say my chances are that high if there's another girl from my school (ranked 2, SATs a bit higher, has done some research, has legacy... overall, stronger applicant, I think) also applying EA?

obviously not ENTP... sorry.

So does that mean you like me or you hate me, River Phoenix? :)

bumper cars

Haha...I knew that word! XD

You have a good chance...just apply and try it.

i'd say chance is bout 95% compared to my 5% ...-_-

lol, i was fine until i read that "ACT: 36". Now i hate you.

lol, im just kidding. anyway, that's an extremely competetive app. if you wrote your essay right, i'd say you've got one helluva good shot. cross your fingers.

THERE'S SOMEONE BETTER THAN YOU?!

I may decide at the last minute not to call for an MIT interview after all ^^''

by the way, have you ever heard of this new, interesting, fun activity called "sleep"??? XD

at least my SAT math n subject math level II's higher. but rest of em, you hav much more advantage than me ---. sigh good luck

Lol, from earlier question about my personality type on the thread: I'm INTJ.

distinctively expressed introvert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed thinking personality
slightly expressed judging personality

for what that's worth...

great chances, but nothings for sure. i would still bet on you getting in at least RD, if not EA
