Any help is appreciated. Thanks Guys

Well, you have an average GPA, probably low due to a tough courseload so thats ok. Your SAT and ACT are decent and your ECs are good. And being of URM Status might lift you up as far as admissions go. Im not an expert at most of these schools but ill chance you to where i think you can go.

NYU: I would say far reach, but the ED and the legacy as well as the URM status will push it down to a reach.
American: In
Tufts: Match/slight reach
USC: Slight reach
BU: slight reach

I think if you can improve your standardized tests and continue improving your GPA next semester, you will see your chances also increase. Good luck!

BTW, can you chance me as well if you could?

bump...................

anyone....

NYU (ED) (Legacy) - low reach

Occidental College - don't bother applying

Connecticut College - safety?

American University - low reach/high match

Emerson College - don't know

Tufts University - reach

USC - low reach

BU - match

CUNY Honors College (Macaulay) - match

California Institute of the Arts - don't know

Drexel University - match

University of Hartford - match

what do you mean by don't bother?

anyone out there?

I mean that it's a pretty far reach for you.

uh occidental is easier to get into compared to USC. what are you talking about ?

also, he has minority power that will tip scales in his favor

That's funny.... USC (the most selective college on his list) has an acceptance rate of 20% while occidental's around 41%. Also, even if that weren't the case, it's stupid to discourage people from applying.

I don't know much about the others but... if you are seriously considering USC, sagecoll, you should retake the SAT/ACT (based on whichever you like better- your scores are on a very similar level). Try for a 32/2050. Your GPA is low (average accepted is around 3.8), but you do come from a top 10 public school, so do your best with grades this year. Good luck!

bump.........

anyone else?
