History graduate program stats?

What do the intelligent forum members here feel would be "about average" stats (GPA, GRE, etc.) for admission to top-tier graduate history programs (i.e. Columbia, Stanford, etc.)? Thanks!

Duke is one of the few schools to publish admissions statistics so here is a link for their History dept. PhD admission stats:

It doesn't take a perfect GPA or GRE to get in anywhere. It's usually about fit so if you do your best, have some research experience, and write a good statement of purpose you always have a shot.
