History major?

<p>I'm not in college yet, actually still in high school, but my brother thinks I should plan ahead. I'm really interested in history, but have no idea what kind of job you can get with a major in history, besides museums. I wouldn't mind working in a museum, but what else is out there?</p>

<p>Seem to be most of the career options. I sure grad school will expand your career options also</p>

<p>I know history majors that are in business development, banking, operations and law. Sorry there is no trend to follow there except the need for a graduate degree unless you want to teach HS.</p>

<p>Mymuffins, a museum job usually require a Ph.D, in History or Geology, or Astronomy, and so on, depending on the type of museum it is. You can also become a history teacher. A history teacher is essential today. Many youth’s are not learning correct historical facts. This will cause consequences for future leaders. Therefore a strong history teacher will be able to teach a balanced, historically correct curriculum.</p>
