How is history at Georgetown? Do they have any specifics in Chinese History? When taking the history major route is their the freedom to be more specific in a certain area (i.e. Chinese History). How many elective hours each semester are offered?

Anything in the social sciences is pretty much going to be top-notch at Georgetown. If you're interested in Chinese History you'd probably be an International History major or Regional & Comparative Studies major in the SFS. I'm not sure how specific you can get with the history majors in the college.
