1) I don’t know much about film other than I’ve heard mixed things about film (but mostly just that students tend to not enjoy going to the weekly screenings for their class). I’ve heard good things about electronic arts so far, but once again, I don’t know much/haven’t heard much.

2) I have yet to have a conversation in which I am not learning something to some degree, whether it’s music, mathematical concepts, philosophies (personal or referential), etc. I’m constantly in awe by how much other people know, and while it’s intimidating at first, it in and of itself is inspiring because then I want to research the topic more, thus I, too, become a mini-expert on whatever the topic was. Students enjoy continuing discussions from class outside of class, debating about lecturers and their claims, arguing their point on how wikipedia is the most anarchistic entity in society (for or against), etc.

3) I can’t help you much there. My roommate didn’t get enough aid, called Bard, told them what other schools gave her and that Bard was her first choice, and they gave her more money.

4) Kids at Bard tend to (look like they) have long torsos. It’s part of the hipster look, I guess. haha.

To go to Bard, I turned down: SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Geneseo, Goucher, and Grinnell.
