I decided I’m going to Hofstra for their computer science program and because they’re offering me enough that I won’t have debt. I originally wanted to go to Stony Brook but it is pretty far while Hofstra is close and Stony Brook would end up costing more surprisingly. However, there is a possibility that Hofstra may cost just as much as Stony Brook for me. I would hate to drive over an hour to Stony Brook for class and would hate it more to have to spend money to dorm at Stony Brook when Hofstra is a few minutes away.
How big is the difference in these two college’s computer science programs and is it worth driving an hour to Stony Brook if it is better? Ignoring the cost of the colleges.
