My son got great FA at Tabor
Very little FA at Holderness
Am thinking the smaller school is better for him but does anyone know about these schools? Kids, social life, academics etc
Thx
I know something about Holderness. I am guessing that this is the school you mean when you state smaller? The issue is that if you need the FA than that could be the deciding factor. Holderness graduates about 75 students per class and has excellent faculty. Holderness attracts students from many different countries. They have several international students for such a small student body. They have a program for each year of of high school. The freshman do two weeks of service, juniors do Outback and seniors are required to complete a senior thesis and present it to the school.
You may be able to find more information about both schools under the Hidden Gems thread. If your child is a skier than Holderness would be an excellent choice. It has one of the highest tuitions of all the BS so this would be an issue if you need the FA that Tabor offered. I know that Tabor and Holderness are rivals. I just know very little about Tabor.
I would consider the schools peers so it’s more a matter of how much aid you need and how you and your kid feel about the schools.
Thanks for your input! We have last revisit day at Holderness tomorrow. We r big skiers, but maybe S#1 is trying to tell us something!!! We will see how it goes.
