For Fall I have begun interviewing for internships with advertising and public relations firms. Right now I am doing a PR internship with a non-profit and from the looks of things my supervisor is expecting me to stay with them for a while, as in more than just one semester. I'm not sure if it's because I'm just starting out, but a lot of the work I do is from home. Usually my supervisor gives me assignments, and then we connect via email and GoogleDocs. My question is, is it bad to take on two internships at once in this case? The internships I'm interviewing for now would be structured, 2-3, full(8 hour) days a week type internships, that will only be in the Fall semester. I assumed I could do both at once since my internship with the non-profit has less of a commitment and I can get the work done in my spare time. What should I do in this situation?

What I mean is should I inform my non-profit internship if I do end up getting internship offers?

if you can fit both in your schedule you should be able to do it… might be a lot though, but only you can be the judge of how much you can take on. What you really don’t want is for your performance at one or the other to suffer because you are doing both.
