So, everyone at my school is crazy-obsessed with the holidays! Even though we're a public school, all the teachers are putting up loads of Christmas crap all over the place. Every club has a had a party. We're even having a party in my engineering class! 25% of our school is on free or reduced lunch, yet these same people exploiting the system are buying hundreds of dollars worth of perfumes and underwear and jewelry for their bf/gf/friends! I was astonished last year when I saw these huge Victoria's Secret bags full of presents and food and candy for friends! This year, I've been dragged in- I bought 8 gifts for my female friends alone and I'm making 2 pans of brownies. Is anyone else's school like this?

We're on break early enough that people aren't really as into the holiday mode yet.

Wished that my school was like that.

im surprised no liberal has sued your school for being so overwhelmingly racist and biased in a celebration of a christian holiday???!?!? is it a public university !!?!??!! seperation of church&state !?!?!?! whats ur schools name ima sue you right now !?!??!!?

/sarcasm

lol, actually there have been a lot of angry atheists mumbling (just about everyone in newspaper is atheist, we're actually doing an anti-christian issue that is due out tommorow)

this one subsitute used to rap about jesus, but i just found out yesterday that someone told (again!) and so he can't do it anymore. I was kinda sad because it was so funny to hear this old guy rapping (badly) about jesus. Everytime we had him as a sub, someone would ask him to do it just so we could snicker at him.

Now he's doing a no jonin' rap instead, and trying to get a no-jonin' day sponsored by the school.

I think it's so lame how people are like OMFG YOU ARE PLAYING CHRISTMAS MUSIC THATS AGAINST THE LAW.

I go to a school where everyone I have met is Christian. I met two that were Jehovah's Witnesses but they didn't really care if they played Christmas music or not because they realize that over 95% of the kids at my school celebrate Christmas.
