Thanks all! I ordered the Summer Shack gift card last night and just printed it. (Had the electronic version sent to myself. Could have opted to send to gift recipient’s email. You can also order a real gift card to be mailed.)
Ok here’s a question for you all… I bought these 3 little pottery pieces at a local non profit pottery studio small business Saturday for only a few dollars each. I’ll probably give one to each of my 3 daughters (one is a DIL!)
I’d like to “fill” them with something that could maybe indicate a use for them. For instance I thought the blue/white one could hold one of the small handheld frothers - that’s how I keep mine. The yellow one could be like a salt jar near the stove - something like that. They aren’t tall - the green “pitcher” maybe is 6 inches tall - what might you fill them with or how might you use them??
Very cute!
Mini-spatulas for the green pitcher?

Pencils?
The yellow one calls for making it into 2 candles.
You could include a box of fancy salt (Maldon or Himalayan Pink) along with the yellow container. I think that’s a great gift.
I’d use the green pitcher for cream or small flowers.
Unless the maker certifies that the stoneware is food-safe, I would hesitate to use it for food serving or storage.
Great ideas! I’ll take any ideas!
I have used a similar pitcher with water for as you say small flowers but always put a saucer underneath
Good point!!
I agree that a small silicone spatula or flowers would be great for the tiny pitcher. Cute items.
If one of them is a fan of honey sticks, it seems about the right size.
Wrapped mints, or maybe candy canes this time of year.
I found an Etsy shop to put photos of DIL’s cats on socks. I think she’ll be delighted. I got another DIL Eiffel Tower socks (the ones we went to Paris with) and third DIL “donut” socks as she sometimes brings us doughnuts. These goofy gifts are the ones I’m most excited about. Oh, and the three sons get Cheez-its socks. They LOVE Cheez-its.
For the taller ones I immediately started thinking about pens, pencils, special markers or colored pencils (if they’re artsy), etc. I also like the flowers idea.
For the yellow, if continuing an office related theme, paper clips? If not, then maybe a body butter or scrub? Also, you could reach out to the pottery studio to find out if they’re food safe. If so, then they could be used as a candy jar for things like M&M, Jordan almonds, etc.
On an unrelated note, what do people use mini spatulas and other similar things (like mini whisks, etc) for? I’ve seen the minis, just never knew why I’d use them.
I use a mini whisk for making a “flax egg” when I need to bake and I’m out of eggs (basically ground flaxseed and water, microwaved for a bit). Small whisk for small bowl (cereal bowl). Sometimes also for 1-3 eggs when whisking in a small bowl for scrambled eggs.
I use mini silicon scraper to clean our tomato paste cans—I like to get it all out. Can also use them for scraping our other bottles and cans.
Looks like the green one has a lip for pouring? Is it a measure or could it be?
Good question! Def has a spout.
I just got the Dash mini for $7.99 from Amazon thanks to your suggestion but now I will need recipes! Not many in the enclosed recipe book. But it looks cute and the color is the same as my Dash egg cooker (which I love).
what dash mini did you get?
Yesterday while ‘wander shopping’ I found some Dinner Party Murder mystery games and decided to get them for my kids and niece and nephew? These are all kids who have good paying jobs and lots of twenty year old friends.
Anyone have any experience? Are they fun?
I have no ideas for my 26 year old (will be 26 on Wednesday) daughter and her boyfriend. They both have good jobs, two very very spoiled dogs who do NOT need another toy, buy whatever they need or want for themselves… They did buy a new house last year but have very particular tastes and don’t like a lot of clutter. I tried to give daughter a Home Depot gift card I found in my mother’s wallet and she didn’t even want that. I gave her some make up and her response was “Okay, thanks” Last year I gave them a gift certificate for axe throwing and they never used it.
Any ideas?
