<p>judging from the number of people I know who were admitted to UCLA or Cal with less-than-stellar stats, I can only assume that their personal statements/work history aided them quite a bit.</p>
<p>Yikes, now I’m even more worried (although I started early and tailored it specifically to my major) it is the cliche “matured, found my way” essay - and I need all the help I can get since my major is super impacted - communications. :(</p>
