I wanted to hear from parents or students about submitting schoolwork along with transcripts and description of coursework for application to universities, particularly ivy league. It would seem to me that a school would want to see sample of a homeschooler’s work, especially if they were homeschooled by parents without having taken any outside, i.e. community or junior college, courses. My daughter applied to 10 schools, and only one asked for a sample of academic work–and this wasn’t because she was homeschooled, it was part of the application package for the honors program. Remember that most schools will ask for essays and other written components to the application, so that’s a chance to see what the student can do.
