This is a really big decision, and i think the main thing is that you need to weigh all of your options. Have you thought about the implications of being a student all by yourself? Maybe it isn’t at the top of your list of priorities but it is one of the things that you need to think about.

The social aspects of high school are not everything of course but they are important. Online school will mean that you don’t see friends, you won’t be in the daily hustle and bustle of high school to actually meat new people, and you won’t have access to the HS milestones.

Your studies are a big priority but your social life should be important too. Social meaning it is your time to be a goofy teenager with other goofy teens. Sitting at football games, commiserating over teachers, and dating are all things that happen naturally in HS-mainly because you are all there together. You make friends here that you keep for life.

Bottom line, look at the choice from all angles and then do what you want. Just give it a lot of thought.

We did not like Keystone. I have known a couple others who tried Keystone and did not feel it was worth the money. If you state makes you have an accredited school, it might be worth it. But I would look in to other options instead. Does your state have a free online program or anything?

Hi Skittleburstgirl, just wondering how you did on the ACT or SAT. I hope you did ok. Also I was wondering if the 4.0 GPA was weighted GPA or unweighted.

Homeschool if you have super human self drive and motivation, if you are good at being independent and like to learn on your own. If you don’t have these characteristics, you won’t go far with homeschooling. You might do okay but not great. Take it from a homeschooler, you won’t have numerous teachers telling/nagging you to do your homework so your kind of on your own. But the great thing about homeschooling is the freedom. You can go as fast as you like, do what you want when you want, and it really is a beautiful lifestyle. I personally love the fact that I homeschool. Plus you how successful you are really depends on how hard you work whether you go to public school or homeschool. Good Luck!!!
