Honestly, what can you do with a history degree.

With a history degree…

You can draw kirby!

kirby <(‘.’)<

lol…i love kirby!

Qwerty: I bet that’s exactly what they did.

Write textbooks. Museums? An AP exam grader lol.

lol…They better be able to grade my AP exam with a 5! haha

I’m going to major in history, and I plan to go to law school or get a PhD and teach. But I’ve also known history majors that went on work in a marketing dept. for a corporation, work in ministry, paralegal, I mean there’s more than just teaching. You’re right though, it’s not the highest paying major.

I’ve know a couple of youth ministers with history majors. It’s a useful degree to have in any job that involves argument or debate.

You could become Indiana Jones, Lara Croft or a bounty hunter.

If all else fails, you could get into politics or become a janitor or a bum.

History Majors tend to go to Law School or to Business.

I have an interdisciplinary major and my emphasis is on world history. I’ll let you know in a few years what I’ll do with it. I’m looking into government jobs or being a professor.

Potential

I get what you’re saying but it depends in certain cases. In the field of law/politics I’m pretty sure it helps; either way, not a big fan of history so w/e lol.

I know one person who is getting a history major solely for the purpose of going to law school afterwards.

I already have a job better than a french fry maker and I’m a first year in college -.-

“EDIT: OMG I realized 2 months ago on this website that being a librarian would be cool, but none of the colleges I’m applying to have library science”

L0L

^ you were there  (I think)

Welll not all librarians are stupid. Ours went to Princeton, but I guess some might perceive that negatively.

being a librarian would be awesome. You would pretty much read books all day :]

^ With a computer behind the counter you could be on CC all day!

^^ Then again, at some age being on HSL is more paedophilia than good honest banter…

My history teacher is one of the people I respect the most- he’s really intelligent, nice, and fair, and actually likes to teach. Some people like teaching, ya know… I personally wouldn’t want to, but to restate what other people have said, the people who major in history are the ones who really have a passion for it. So it all works out in the end.
