Honors and Pre AP

I transferred from the high school district CPS to HISD. Can my honor credits be valued as Pre AP over here?
CPS has regular, honors, and AP. HISD has regular, Pre AP, and AP. Seems same to me, but counseling sucks here, so I’ll make an appointment with my principle. Can I get advice on how to address my concern

I would think that honors and pre-AP would be the same time.

Honors is actually a term for pre-ap so you should be fine. No worries.

Thank you :). I know this is a question to directly ask my school, but I wanted advice on how to approach the principal.

@bopper , I did too, but the registration and counseling offices is literally so callous and bond-idle that they don’t shown ANY concern for the students. I simply can’t stand to having my honor credits valued as regulars, so I’m going to talk straight to the principal.

Honors and pre-ap are usually the same level of class. They both go before the more challenging version and are designed to prepare you for it.

Before going straight to your principal, I’d see if there’s a counselor or someone that helps new students. They will have more time and be way more familiar with those policies.

The counseling office is little help. Though I will obviously need to take advantage of counselors; it’ll be better for me if i talk to the principal. Just at this school, haha

Are you assigned a counselor? In schools, it is very important to go through the chain of command…I would go to your counselor first…and if that doesn’t work escalate to the principal. You might not even have a problem.
