Yeah, that’s a good idea…what does everyone else think?

Yeah, you definetly should be in all honors, I mean, your grades are great.

I find it annoying when you say that there are “kids who don’t care about their grades, slack off, and do everything to be bad. But, I’m not like that, I care about my grades…”

I take all Honors/APs and I care about my grades but I definetly slack off and barely do my homework and read like 2 out of the 13 books we were supposed to read this year. That doesn’t make me a bad person or anything. In fact, I did a hell-of-a-lot better than most people in my grade and I can assure you I enjoy HS a lot more. If you talk to those “slackers,” you’ll figure out that a ton of effort does not necessarily equate amazing grades. It’s more of having a strategy and knowing how to go about school. I know I’m ranting, but I just wanted to give you the other side of the story. I had the same mentality as you freshman year, and I really regret it.

I say- go the honors route. Tell your counselor what you want and sit down till you get it. Or you could alwaus call your parents to do it for you. I have a friend that was in all regular clases and regrets it cause she could have been in honors- don’t be my friend!

Well it seems to me that your school sets you in the classes, and maybe you need to ask to be in honors? And jesus your school seems flippin easy… how do you get a 100% in spanish? Lol… well I mean schools are known for different things, and difficulties… but seriously? I mean this year there were three kids with A’s in my spanish class.

Talk to your counslers about it… I mean obviously your grades are good enough, why are you even asking us???

Prepare a list of reasons

Print your transcript

Talk to them, show them your grades, insist!

Okay, so at most schools the squeeky wheel gets the grease, meaning, be persistant! If they really don’t think you can handle it, which I doubt they will if you talk to them, have one of your parents call or visit them. If your parents think you can handle it, and are aware that if you mess your grades up it is your fault, then you should be fine. Just give your counsler some reasons like:

[ul][]It looks good on a transcript
[]You worked hard this year, and are willing to do it next year
[]Kept a 93% average with three honors
[]Didn’t get a B in any honors classes
[]Are a dedicated, hard working student
[]You want a challenge
[li]You understand the consequences of taking harder classes, if you do bad[/ul]
[/li]

Some are hypothetical… but good luck, seriously your honors class grades are fine, and you seem like a well rounded, put-together student. You should be fine! Just talk to them, imo they will let you.

Runningwriter, they just seem like the exact opposite of me…lol

LostInThought, there is only one other student in my Spanish class with an A. I have the highest grade in World Geography, English, Math, Piano, and Spanish. I hope they do, but like the counselor is always so busy…and I feel like I’m getting on his nerves…lol
