Can/should I list music competitions as “academic” honors on the CommonApp if I’m planning on mentioning them in my extracurricular descriptions?
IMO the CommonApp should drop “Academic” and put “Honors, Awards, and Recognition” as the category name. But as it stands now, music competitions are not strictly academic, so those awards should be listed in the EC area.
