Honors Program in College of Letters and Sciences

Are the teachers good in this program? Or are they more researchers than teachers?

Often the best at one are also the best in the other. They do try to select ones with the highest student rankings which are done for every class and taken seriously.

You are more likely to have a smaller class and more direct contact with the professor. Even if it's only doing a paper for Honors credit in a regular class you discuss what you plan to do with the professor. Physics first semester had two professors who shared leading the discussions when it wasn't their turn to lecture. I bet the better TA's get the Honors classes' discussion and lab jobs. Remember you will be surrounded by like-minded (ie those who chose Honors also) students, which can enhance the level of discussions.
