<p>Does the honors program play signicantly in the tulane experience? We've read the website, my son searched the course catalog and found just five honors courses listed.</p>

<p>The short answer is no, at least not in the sense I think you mean it. It certainly is important for those that want to graduate with high honors and try for prestigious scholarships and fellowships. <p>There are more than 5 honors courses, btw. Using the online tool will give you a better view of them. <a href=“http://classschedule.tulane.edu/Search.aspx[/url]”>Tulane University Schedule of Classes; Just highlight the Honors and search “All Courses”. There are not a ton, though, after you eliminate the ones that are only for writing the senior thesis in each department. But a lot more than 5.</p>
