Hope ranked #23 in undergrad research by USNWR, tied with Cornell & Swarthmore

USNWR released its 2019 rankings of colleges and universities for undergraduate research and creative projects. They invited college presidents, chief academic officers, deans of students and deans of admissions from more than 1,500 schools to nominate up to 15 institutions with “stellar examples of undergraduate research/creative projects. Colleges and universities that received 10 or more nominations are ranked here.” Hope College tied for #23 with Swarthmore and Cornell. https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/undergrad-research-programs

I have a current freshman at Hope College who wants to major in physics. She was invited to participate in a 10 week paid summer research program the summer before she started. She is continuing with paid research this Fall, her first semester.

Hi Corinthian. This is a bit odd, but I’m a journalist interested in talking with you about one of your posts from 2018m about your daughter taking a DNA test to learn more about her heritage. That discussion (http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/21787911#Form_Body) has since closed, so I’m contacting you here.

I’m working on an article about DNA tests being used in college admissions, and the nature of identity. I thought your comment on the post was impressively nuanced and thoughtful. Would you be interested in speaking with me? If so, you can reach me at jackherrerx at gmail. You can also read my most recent article here: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/01/05/trump-tijuana-extracontinentales-immigrants-093223.

Thank you so much.
