I'm a freshman at a UC school and wanted to ask a few questions about transferring if anybody has this kind of knowledge on these things (even if you don't, opinions always help) :)

Because my school works on quarters I wanted to know whether or not I should send an updated transcript (it will be available before admissions decisions) or if they would not consider it.

Secondly, I got a 4.0 in my first quarter and think my professors are going to give me some great recs but I'm worried about the rigor thing. I didn't take any remedial classes or anything but all of my first quarter classes were General Education requirements (that doesn't mean they are inherently easy, some GE's are notoriously bad graders, as was the case for two of three classes I took) but I'm worried if that looks bad or not (I guess they are the equivalent of core curriculum classes at Columbia).

Finally, Should I mention the fact that my school doesn't do 100-400. Non upper division coursework is below 100 etc.

Thoughts?

Thanks :)
