Hopkins or BC?

OP has chosen already. Besides Hopkins is not slightly better than BC by any metric, it’s a lot better.

A “lot better”? How so, academically? Come, come, my dear Blah, you must know that academics form only a part of the whole college experience. Or is this another anti-Catholic sentiment in an ‘academicly superior’ posture?

No question: Johns Hopkins

Hopkins is the better all around environment (IMHO) and certainly more intellectual. I would only choose BC if you are majoring in Business or if you’re afraid of Baltimore.

I was referring to academics using objective metrics (incoming student profile, admissions selectivity, reputation of university by academic peers, ranking among all domestic and international lists) only. Social life is an entirely different and more subjective matter. Boston is the quintessential college town, but good luck trying to break into elite consulting/finance jobs there unless you’re from one of the big 2 (or 4 if you count Williams/Amherst) colleges in MA.

Why is this relevant? It’s not like JHU is a top target school for IBD either.

I don’t know about Investment Banking placement on the street, but Hopkins does a lot better than BC in elite management consulting firm placement.

If you want pre-med, go to Hopkins.
Otherwise, go to BC.
