I was going to sleep last night, and my thoughts strayed to the PSAT. As I reccounted the test, I realized that I have no memory of bubbling in the quantitative answers. Just writing them down. I have some memories of it, but they were instantly discarded by my mind, because I felt I was making them up. Now I am very scared. I know I answered every math question perfectly, based on the PSAT thread, but if I missed those qc's, my standardized test career is gone.

Am I worrying to much, or is this something subconscious? I've never made this mistake before on the 20+ math SAT tests I've done before.

It's driving me nuts!!!

Basically, do you guys have a very clear memory of bubbling in each qc?

sagar, don't worry. that stuff happens to me ALL the time lol. especially concerning the Signatures at the end of the exams (saying you did not cheat, etc.). i can never remember whether i signed them, so i freak out lol

So I am not sure if I bubbled them in. But I though on the PSAT/SAT, only the bubbled answer matters? If not, when should I contact college board? How much do I have to pay? What if I don't contact college board, will they still handscorerize it?

Thanks a lot, some pressure blew of my mind!

I am a junior who took the PSAT on Wednesday October 12th. When thinking later about the test,
I remembered for the quantitative math problems(you write in your own answer) that I solved the
problems, and wrote them into the boxes, but then my memory buzzes out for when I bubbled in
the corresponding numbers. I have taken SAT Math tests 20+ times(lots of practice tests) and
never done this, but I am not sure about this time, and am quite nervous.

Is it possible to get hand scoring done on the PSAT? Will this help me?

Thanks,
Sagar Indurkhya

What do you think? I hope this works <crosses fingers=""></crosses>

edit the "but then my memory buzzes out" line. It sounds too colloquial and immature.

I wouldn't worry too much.

"my standardized test career is gone." That's overly dramatic. In the long run, PSATs count for squat, especially if you don't get to at least semifi but even at finalist they don't mean much except another award. I wouldn't worry, it's not as big a deal as it might seem. I was insanely happy after getting up to semifi until I started applying and realized it's really not a big deal, especially at better colleges who get hundreds of finalists.

sagar if ur really sure u screwed up on the PSAT, then start studying now for the December SAT. I'm sure a really good SAT score will eclipse a bad PSAT score for RSI.

I'm not even sure if I messed it up... this really really sucks. I took the practice PSAT the night before, so the memories that my mind came up with of the real test where i bubbled it in are then like... you know... like my mind is like, no!, you are just thinking of tuesday night, and I'm like, but ... but... argh!!! So confused!?!?!

I just wished if I knew or didn't. I'm a man of a chess engine: I like predictable games, so I can map out possibilities. Possibilities:

A) I did just fine, and am worrying way to much for nothing.
B) I utterly screwed myself up, and need to reconsider applying to prestigious colleges... :(

dun worry, i always have nightmares about the SAT. In fact, i just had one last night... i was dreamin that the EXACT same test questions were in a practice test that I did not do but saw after the test >< i woke up and was like thank GOD...

bk to the orig thread, i think it's just stress. when ur under the test conditions, ur brain will know to fill in the bubbles. dun worri =)
