Hospitality Degree at UCF

So I want to be an event planner and I’ve been looking at different schools (before you say it- I didn’t like Cornell) and my top two I came down to were Boston Univeristy and Univeristy Of central Florida. I got into UCF (waiting for BU) and am leaning towards it. As far as cost goes, it’s more realistic for my salary as an event planner and I really would prefer a warmer climate.

My only concern is that a degree from UCF will have little value and I’ll struggle to find a job. I look at reviews online and many people complained that the degree is a waste of money as you can’t get a job and that they don’t offer good internships. Could anyone who has graduated from there offer an insight? What has your experience been with job searching in the industry? Thank you!
