Hotchkiss Info

Hmm commentary… I’m not sure I’ve ever “commented” on any of the stories, just posted a couple of my own. I’m also an MLIA fan  The internet is indeed a small world.

Note: My post above should read “2.4 students per course”, not “2.4 courses per student”, of course. ( I wrote that post way too early in the morning, when I was still half asleep, as you can tell.)

bumpity bump bump… :)

Hi!
ok i want to know how well the older students are towards the new freshman…like are they supporting and talk to you, or do they kinda keep to themselves are the other older students(does that make sense? haha)
thanks

Yep, that makes sense. In my experience, the older students have been really nice to the new freshmen. It’s really easy to make friends with older people through classes if you place up, and clubs if you take advantage of that your first year. I only knew a couple of upperclassmen before I got to school, but once I arrived, our orientation leaders and proctors became friends and I met several older people in classes and clubs. It’s probably even easier to communicate between classes if one has an older sibling, but I’m an only child, so I wouldn’t know. In my case, I ended up meeting so many older people in the first week that someone would say “Hi name!” and I would have no idea who it was. So to answer your question, yep, older students are great towards new freshmen, very supportive, and absolutely no bullying. HIH :)

How is the relationship between students and teachers? I haven’t heard as much about Hotchkiss on that aspect.

In terms of teacher-student relationships, it’s pretty much like any other school. I’ve had amazing relationships with teachers with whom I will keep in contact long after I graduate; I’ve also had relationships with teachers similar to those between a bad tooth and an overenthusiastic dentist.

Is there any Chinese kids at hotchkiss on FA?(I heard there IS one from my middle school…)
How likely (or UNlikely) is it for int’l students to get FA? And the average FA package?
What’s the ratio of the int’l kids those with aid VS w/out aid?

Am I able to talk to a Chinese student(mainland)?
