I got accepted into the Summer C term and Fall 2013 term.
For Fall my priority number is 561.
I would like to receive a dorm near Suwanee. So I've listed Reynolds, Broward and Jennie Murphee as my top 3 and Cawthon as number 4. Would my chances be anywhere near good enough to get a dorm in those halls? I'm considering applying to the Bryan Hall LLC to ensure a room in that area if accepted. But how many people besides the ones in the Pre-Health LLC sign the wellness agreement?

For summer I applied late and got a priority number of 1031, and they only give us 5 hall options of the ones near Suwanee (Reynolds, Jennie Murphee, Broward, Gilchrist) and then DeGraff. I listed Degraff as my last choice, but is it almost definite that I will end up in that hall with a low priority number?

To figure out the odds of getting one of the dorms, simply do the math:
Building Occupancy
DeGraff 700
Reynolds 243
Broward 135
Cawthon 297
Gilchrist 229
Jennie Murphree 327

Your priority number is low enough to easily get one of them. Which one is a little more cloudy, but it’s pretty much guaranteed you’ll get at least one of them… Probably your first choice, actually.

Thank you! I’m just nervous because most of the halls near Suwanee are also halls for LLC’s so every person who is admitted to them automatically get to live there.

None of the LLCs besides Bryan Hall are exactly large. Wildwood for example houses 3 LLCs and still has I believe over 500 spots for non-LLC residents.

Keep in mind though that in order to get housed in Reynolds, I believe that you have to fill out the Reynolds Wellness Agreement. A number of people that would like to live in Reynolds forget to do that.

I am currently in Bryan Hall and there is no wellness agreement, it is practicially connected to Suwannee which is great when it is raining. In the fall in Bryan hall you must take one course in the hall and the colloquium. At colloquium they say you will fail if you miss more than 2 days, but I had friends who missed 6+ and were told to right one page essays to make up for the ones they missed. In the spring you only take a course in Bryan. Bryan is great, but try to stay away from it if you have already earned a lot of college credit since the courses offered (6 courses) sometimes don’t allow you much choice.

I’ll have 39 credit hours going into my summer term, so I’ll only need 7 classes to meet my AA requirements, so I don’t think doing an LLC will be that beneficial to me besides making friends. Would you say that people in Bryan hall are friendly with the neighboring halls?

Yeah, unless you go into an LLC that’s pretty much geared towards your major (or is otherwise something you’re interested in, but aren’t majoring in), then it’s not going to be beneficial. You might in fact already have credit for a number of the courses being offered.

Your priority number is low enough to get one of the dorms you want. If you’re looking at joining an LLC simply to guarantee yourself a suite-style room, don’t waste your time. There’s 3700 suite-style spots on campus. Only a small number of these go to LLCs.

If you’re worried about making friends, you have to realize that it is all on you. What dorm you live in has no bearing on whether you make friends or not.
