My DS is going in to UA as a freshman in Fall 2017. UA received all of his AP scores and Dual Enrollment information and now Degree Works has him classified as a Sophomore. Is this designation going to affect his housing? He will only attend if he can live on campus his first year. He is nervous because even the housing link now shows him as a SO and he’s afraid he won’t get housing. Any information is appreciated.
He’ll be considered a first year student for housing purposes. There have been students in recent years who’ve tried to get out of living on-campus or having the all-access meal plan because they had sophomore standing, and it was a no-go. He’ll be able to live on campus. If you’re worried about it, give Housing a call. They’ve always been very helpful.
