Housing for exchange student

Hi I am going to be an exchange student at Penn this spring semester.

I got randomly assigned to Sansom place.

After researching it I am a bit annoyed about this as I wanted a communal college because obviously as an exchange student I don't know many people (in fact nobody) at Penn.

What are your thoughts on this? Will it be easy to meet people at Sansom Place? Also I'm an undergrad exchange isn't it mainly postgrad?

Would I be able to transfer housing?

Cheers

bump anyone?

I don’t really know anything about housing for exchange students, but I do know that Sansom Place, while it does house a lot of grad students, does have some undergrads. You might have to work a little bit harder, but you’ll meet people through other ways like your classes and extra curriculars.

You might want to try calling housing or contacting them via email: [University of Pennsylvania Housing Services](Home | Penn Residential Services) to see if they can answer your questions.
