what is the different personalities each house is known for? if you are a freshman i believe you choose from a list and i was wondering if some houses have more for example- jocks, nerds, preppy, artsy, hippies, etc. just looking for a fit. thanks

well for “house” it will be REALLy hard to do a list since theres like 40 of them.
We can do it by dorm though.

So here’s the 3 broad categories:

“Nerds”: almost everyone’s a nerd here, just some more intense than others. That said , the most intense dorm by reputation is snell-hitchcock. I’ve also heard that dodd-meade in BJ has some unique traditions

People you can’t find: I honestly have never met anyone from these places, blackstone, stony island. I’m not sure if i’m just really unlucky but these dorms are really far from campus so I wouldnt advise going there. Mclean is borderline on here too since its a bit removed from campus, but the mclean people i know are actually highly sociable albeit in the same mold as the typical snell-hitchcock kid.

“Normal”: The more traditional dorms that come to mind are Max, South, and Pierce. Granted these are so big that all types of people are in them. However, by and large the ones living here are not the same as the snell kids. In Max and Pierce your very likely to find alot of atheletes due to proximity to the Gym. In Pierce (where i live), there’s also a very heavy video game culture, a group of people that to my dismay use recreational drugs, as well as a minority that are basically the same as the kids in snell. Oh yeah, people drink very heavily here, so if your into that feel free to join.

Yeah I spent last night in Pierce hahahahaha… 'twas an experience.

fortune3- thanks- went to accepted days- the dorms you described make alot of sense now
