Nope. Maybe they fixed it after last year?

The housing glitch appeared 6 weeks ago when the Spring 2016 Transfer Applicants got their decisions. I don’t think they’ve fixed it since then.

Oh I didn’t know about that. So then since we still don’t have it, we can probably assume decisions will not be out tomorrow? Four more days!

You all do realize developers tend to fix glitches right? I mean if they know about it from last year its probably fixed or being worked around.

The glitch has been around for a few years now as far as I know, that’s why people are depending on it. But I don’t think that not having the glitch rules out getting a decision tomorrow

The term “glitch” is one that originated here on CC, that does not mean that UMD developers consider it to be something that needs fixing, The so-called glitch is actually a link to a Housing Application Form that students must fill out if they want on-campus housing, That link has to be there when decisions are released…I’ve spent many years designing and developing software and I’d call it a feature

Glitch is horrible term made up by tech hungry users. IT professionals would call it a bug.

Regardless, Soodad is correct. The housing link appears to be part of the admissions notification process. When they decide to go live they probably turn this switch on during the day and suddenly everyone sees it. The email notice is likely another step in the process. It is probably triggered by another event that may even be scheduled.

I have a good chance of getting in though, so I’m hopeful! Maybe not all of ours are updated?
