If I am on the quarter payment plan, when is my first housing payment due?

october 1st

The next payment is on Jan. 1st, a holiday and on winterbreak. Can you pay w/o late fees when you get back to the campus on Jan. 8?

With the help of Ask Housing at http://www.housing.ucla.edu/ask:

Can I make my payment when I return to housing in January without a late fee?

Your payments are due on the 1st of the month and not considered late if received in our office by the 10th. If you are making your payment in person on the 9th or 10th of the month, please be prepared to wait in line as those are the busiest days for the Cashiers Office.

Late fees are assessed on the 11th of the month or the first business day if the 11th is on a weekend or Holiday.

If you will not be able to pay by the 10th, please come to the Housing Accounts Receivable office prior to the 10th to discuss a payment agreement.

Of course you can alternatively pay online 24/7.

Do we just put in the numbers for the amount we have to pay? It says that my monthly rent is $0.00 but I haven't even paid yet.

I haven't used the new system (or is it the same as the beta from last year?) yet. But in the past, the payment part of the website makes no mention of how much you owe or when it's due. You just gotta input the right amount before the due date...

yup... the housing website sucks...

Can we make housing payments in two separate transactions?

My credit limit to my check card is $3000, but my housing due is $3634 for the quarter. So I'm just wondering if it was okay to pay half today, and half tomorrow.
