Housing Priority Numbers for Summer and Fall

Hi.

I applied to FSU for summer 2016 and I know that when you find out your admissions decision December 9th you’re supposed to put a housing deposit in right away to get a high priority number.
My questions are:
Does your summer priority number carry over as your fall priority number?
Do I apply for summer housing and fall housing at the same time? And if so, do I have to put down two separate housing deposits?

Thanks to anyone who answers!

Housing tends to change year-to-year as to how they’re going to screw things up for all the students (while increasing costs at a rate of about 5% a year).

They now tend to set a start date, usually in mid-January, where they open the Housing application so students can get priority numbers for fall/spring.

The fall/spring housing application is completely separate from summer. Different buildings are open during the summer so what you get for fall/spring will potentially not even be open during the summer. Unfortunately, your summer housing priority number doesn’t transfer to fall/spring.

The summer housing application usually opens up once the fall/spring one has slowed down. There’s a lot fewer spaces available but also a lot fewer students applying.
