:)

They just changed it to Friday the 14th.

I pasted this directly from myCalPoly account.

The online Housing Application will now open on Friday, March 14th at 9am. Due to an issue with the database, the original date of Thursday, March 13th, has been changed.

That timeline would be really helpful except that it is from 2005! (there are so many places on the Cal Poly website that need to be updated)

Oh holy smokes! thanks for noticing that.

But how can they open this housing app before everyone has heard back from the school let alone decided on going there? For early decision the housing app opened 15 days after our final decisions were due.

I am confused???

well pretty much everyone knows whether they are in or not.

like i pretty much know for sure i'm not in, even though i haven't heard from them.

yeah im confused too; it seems like its too early to open the housing app and the deadline is march 27th, which is crazy. i dunno how it works

wait.. it closes march 27th?! ahhhhh

i've already got my spot.. but my friend is still debating between poly and davis.. and she wanted to wait til after she visited!

this can't be right.. can it? don't they normally open it AFTER everyone goes for open house in april?! wouldn't that make more sense?!

Yes it absolutely makes more sense. There will be some UC's that have not even given decisions yet on the 27th. How can they expect students who have yet to hear back from all the school they applied to make a decision?

yaa there's something wrong with that.

i know my friend is waiting to hear from Cal and they aren't sending there's out til the 27th. and when i went on a tour back in november.. the guide told me housing was done in june.. which would be after the SIR and all that. hmmm this is wierd.. i think a phone call to the admissions office is needed because it just doesn't make sense!

Are you sure it ENDS on the 27th and not begin? I haven't even gotten decisions from any of my UC's let alone Calpoly.

The Red Bricks dorms are smaller (only 125 guys and 125 girls per dorm) and so you really get to know the other freshman in them. It's a great way to make friends when you're starting out. There's a lot of community spirit to the red bricks - with social activities all the time.

The concrete dorms are larger and set up so that it's more difficult to meet and hang out - just the way the lounge areas and rooms are. also more people and more impersonal.

which one of the red bricks buildings is for science and math college?
im a microbiology major
