I'm starting this thread so people can post their housing and people who want that housing can send a request to that user. to make this simple just post what housing you have first then leave a couple of spaces and then list any additional information you like to add.

Also remember to post whether you are M/F.

So I'll start first and you can follow my lead if you want

Male/Female: Male
Building: Rieber Vista
Room Type: Double
Private/Shared Restroom: Shared

Open to trading to Rieber Terrace, Rieber Vista or Residence Halls. I don’t mind if its a triple. If anyone has a single, I’d like to trade for that the most

if you are looking for an off-campus apartment, then can’t you just cancel your contract for the rest of the year? and then apply to see what’s open? you should ask askhousing to see if there are any openings.

I’m also bumping this thread as the time comes near to switch. I think the date will be on January 11, 2010, and there is no set location yet.

Looking to trade with a Triple preferably in Rieber Terrace, Rieber Vista, or Hedrick Summit. Pretty much any plaza with a shared bathroom is good with me.

there will be an open transfer day week 1 or 2 (ask your RA or RD) where you can go and meet people in your situation and trade rooms on the spot.

I have the bottom bunk (of a wooden bed, not one of the weird metal ones) with two of the bottom long closets (one with hanging space and one with drawers) and have the space under the bottom bunk. (Pretty much the best closet-space deal you can get in a triple hall.) I’m on the cooler side of the hall (the sun doesn’t shine in during the day so the room doesn’t get stuffy or too hot). Very fun floor with nice roommates who leave almost every weekend (which is super nice).

Looking for:
any single (preferably hall) or any double (preferably private bath in plaza). definitely want to meet roommate (if any) before swapping. definitely prefer a single.

Undergraduates
Mutually requested room switches (or room swaps) and transfers to vacant spaces will be considered during the Open Transfer Period each quarter. There will also be a Room Swap Event each quarter, so that residents may come meet other residents who are interested in moving. All residents interested in a transfer/room swap must submit an on-line Transfer Request at our web site [UCLA Housing - MyHousing](UCLA Housing - MyHousing) by selecting the Undergraduate Transfer Request link. If you live on campus, you will also be required to meet with your Resident Director (RD) regarding the request, before it will be approved.

Winter Quarter
On-line Transfer Request application will be available January 3 - January 8 (closing at 8:00 a.m.), 2010.

Graduates

Just so you all know, tomorrow January 7 from 4-6 pm in the Covel second floor study lounge is open transfer night. you can meet other students or see what’s open, and make a switch that very night.

^ Nope, no meal plans in university apartments (well I guess you could get one of the off-campus meal plans, but they’re ridiculously expensive)
