Housing usually this bad?

preference was for roomates and I understand what was trying to be said and of course I have a right to complain.

and again, if something different has happened this year than other years - something is very obviously wrong - it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. When something is wrong it should be fixed.

concerned at orientation they told us that the percentage of accepted students who are attending is higher than they anticipated (yield) which is causing the housing problems. There were many people at orientation for the freshman who still didn’t even have a room.

I am not sure I understand you situation-the kids son is in with friends? In this group of three is one of the kids OK with his assignment and two aren’t?

I was hoping Northeastern wouldn’t make the over-admittance mistake, especially the first year they start requiring entering students to live on campus for their first two years. Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the status is on the dorm they were building behind the Y?

The last I heard the building was set to be complete in 2014 :/

and Yeah I think they overadmittance mistake and the fact they are requiring housing is the reason why there is a housing problem.

I can understand why housing maybe be hard in such circumstance. Especailly because they are not the ones setting the number for admittance and then they are handed over the problem in the middle of the summer. It can be quite frustrating.

Is there anyone who still doesn’t have housing yet?

Why do you ask? Do you not have housing?

No, I do not. I was just told today that I’d be emailed by the 23rd with my assignment.
