When do you guys think that housing will fill up? I need to stay in dorms at least freshman year, but I'm not completely decided on UCF yet, it's where I'm leaning towards though.

Ok, 238 views but no answer…lets reword this. Have most of you/your friends already applied for housing? I don’t want to do it too late and want a feel for what people have done. Also, does anybody else feel like ■■■■■■■■ isn’t worth it? We could basically just do the same thing on here by writing descriptions of ourselves/ interests and what we’re looking for in a roommate, just an observation.

Not really sure about the housing spaces filling up, but I met my freshman year roommate online. Had expectations that we would bond, met her, didn’t bond at all and we were stuck with each other for 3 semesters. We never argued or anything, we just stopped hanging with each other and kinda found our own niche. I think it’s important to realize that what someone may ‘seem’ like online may not be the same person you expect irl. It can be hard though. If I had to do it all over again, I think I’d go random and chance my luck. That’s what I’m doing next academic year, actually.

Good luck tho!

I actually just applied for housing today-for both summer and fall. If you were accepted for Fall, I think you can afford to wait a bit longer. However, if you were accepted for summer…might be taking a bit of a risk. UF decisions came out recently, so a good amount of spots opened up, so they may be accepting deferred students, who would immediatly apply for housing. I would say, try to apply by the end of this month, no later then early march. As for roomates, I don’t know for summer. UCF is pairing me with someone who’s in the program I’m in ‘Pegasus success program.’ However, for fall, I also meet my roomate on the ‘UCF Class of 2016’ facebook. I then went onto ■■■■■■■■, did the survey, and sure enough, I got matched almost perfectly with the girl I was already talking to. We’ve decided to room together for fall:) ■■■■■■■■ isn’t really worth it, though, in my mind.

That’s what I figured, thanks WRITE, I’m in for fall semester so I should still be fine :)

Uh huh, you should be fine! See you down there, if you decide on UCF. What are you choosing from?

UCF and FSU, but I’m seriously leaning towards UCF. I got into Burnett and it’s only about 3 hours from where I live, plus a few of my best friends are going there.

Ah, that’s a tough choice. I came down from Chicago to visit FSU during spring break last year-ended up not even applying. Gorgeous campus, a warm feeling comes from it…but it just didn’t click, you know? Something felt off. Being a city girl, I needed an area with lots to do, so UCF was a much better fit. It’s all based upon preference, and what exactly you’re looking for. But the honors college at UCF is spectacular, even better then UF honor college. It will be a tough choice:)

I also think you should be fine. I just got accepted on Tuesday and I applied for Housing straight away and soon the next day I got the confirmation that I had a bed in housing…So I think due to its quickness to confirm means that they still have a lot of spots left…I’m entering fall too btw and I’m on the same boat as you too lol FSU or UCF

cough you guys should pick UCF…

Eh…I didn’t say anything:D

If you haven’t visited either campus I highly suggest visiting both and talking with students. You’ll get a better feel for it.
Like WRITE said when she visited FSU she didn’t think it was right for her. It happens…I know a kid who opted for UCF over UF because he just didn’t like the look of UF’s campus and the old buildings. Odd reason, but whatever it’s up to how you feel…go with your gut.

I’ve been to both of them I love FSU, my walls were garnet and gold when I was little, but UCFs campus and program are both undeniably better to me, I’m pretty sure I’m going there Caitlin, just have to get my stuff in

I just read you got into UCF’s honors program. Yeah that would be one reason alone to go to UCF. Best of luck at UCF!
