Where do NYU undergrad students live if they don’t get into the on campus housing?
There are many apartments in the area - NYU students often room together in these. Sometimes they’ll go further afield and commute. Renting apartments together sometimes but not always works out cheaper than the dorms. Anecdotally, some sophomores and many juniors and seniors move from campus housing to apartments.
Normally, subject to meeting certain criteria, housing is guaranteed for undergrads other than transfers. This year may be different due to covid.
