thanks mmelen!

There has been an update on the housing and email situation:

"Automatic room assignments will take place June 12-17, and the Housing Portal will be inaccessible during that time. Although we previously reported that First-Year Students would be able to check their housing assignments beginning Monday, June 16 at 12:00 pm, Cornell Information and Technologies is currently experiencing technical difficulties with its email delivery systems. As soon as those problems are corrected, we'll communicate via email to our incoming First Year Students. Transfer Students will be able to apply for housing beginning Tuesday, June 17, at 12:00 pm."

I guess all we can do now is wait and check our emails everyday.

"Will be able to 'apply'"?!? I'm so confused by this; are they talking about reviewing assignments? I thought I already applied last week...

diehldun, I'm thinking the exact same thing..

How come did I already get into HILC? So the program housers are informed early?

Anyone else who is in the same shoes as me?

people who applied for program housing and people with special living needs (i.e. allergies) have been informed already.

so should incoming freshman expect to get their housing as soon as their "postoffice" is back up. i'm in post office 8 which says it should be up hopefully by midnight, so should i hope for then? or will they most likely wait until all accounts are set to go?

What if I didn't apply for a program house, but was assigned into one. Well, probably, HILC is the only place that is open during the winter break? Can anyone confirm it? Internationals are not usually able to go back home due to expensive flight expenses. That is why, I believe, I was put in HILC. LOL

if you guys haven't already, go back to housing portal and check under application. Most students have received their housing assignments by now.
