How accurate are the ACT practice test like Kaplan, Princeton, and the Official ACT?
I’ve heard that the Official ACT is the most accurate, but I wanted to see what everyone else thought. I took Princeton’s free practice test and scored a 25, Kaplan’s a 26, and Official ACT’s a 27. I’m looking to getting at least a 26 on the real test. Any advice/opinions are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Tests are very individual despite measuring high school preparation. That should not be surprising considering the extent and depth of high school preparation. No one except this test companies have the best tests. Scores are not based on how easy a test is, but the number of points earned on one version. It is true that some students may find one version easier and others find the same version as very difficult because of differences in overall preparation, test taking skille, confidence, time management and other factors.Don’t focus on difficulty but your level of preparation and other skills.
I’m a test prep tutor. I almost exclusively use official ACT Tests in my prep. I only use other companies’ tests when I’ve run out of official stuff, or I’m supplementing. Real tests from the official source are always best.
