How are non standard grades looked upon by college or scholarship administrations

I will be receiving a P (passing) grade on my transcript for being a teacher assistant for one of my periods and was wondering if it will be looked down upon since it isn’t a standard A B C D or F grade. I’m a junior and have a 3.7 GPA unweighted. my grades this trimester will most likely end as: A in Pre calculus 2. A in Spanish, P teaching assistant, A in chemistry, A in music

I would not worry an instant about that. It will be fine. What is important is that you are taking the recommended courses st a rigorous level of you are looking at some of the highly selective schools.

I’m looking to stay in Washington State

It will likely be ignored. My DS school gives P/F for PE classes.

One daughter did a semester abroad in high school. All of her grades for that semester were P (pass). This did not seem to impact university admissions at all. She still got in everywhere that she applied (mostly with good merit scholarships).

I don’t think that this is a problem at all. While we live in a very different part of the US (way east of you), my guess is that UW and WSU and other universities in your state will not be concerned at all.
