lolol emmeline.

my pictures are and have always been publicly available. i don't hide anything.

Thumbs up for Hyori Lee!

lol i didnt see the edit.

yep, thats entirely representative of our female population. 100%.

wait...i think you mixed up UCLA and USC

To be honest Allie, I think you're kind of cute. Asian girls are way too overrated these days.

well thanks. i dont require any internet validation but the sentiment is appreciated.

asian girls are cool. white girls are cool. black girls are cool. etc etc etc. none of it's really over or under rated. it's all preference.

yeah, if you are a typical ugly white engineering nerd, i doubt you will even be able to get anyone

I find people's opinions on the girls here is mostly correlational to their opinions (or fetishes) on Asian girls. Personally though I think there's a pretty decent amount of hot girls of all colors. Its not quite as ridiculous as some of the other CA schools I've visited (UCSB, SLO, CSULB), but I've found nothing to actually complain about.

It's more about you anyway. If you've got no confidence, present yourself like a slob, have no game, I'd think you'd have trouble meeting girls even if you lived at the Playboy Mansion. If you're a decent looking dude who presents himself well and has some sort of personality and game, you'll be fine.

SHUT YOUR MOUTH

Interestingly enough, SLO and LB are what I would categorize as 'slut schools', based on the sheer number of easy, moderately retarded girls/cheerleaders from my area who wound up there. my friend was just telling me tales of random play he got at long beach this weekend and was amazed that he didn't have to make a modicum of effort.

and I 2nd what mcgizzle said. because that's what i've been saying all along.

Hey I was just at SLO about a month ago for a tournament, and on the one sunny day out on the town we had there, I don't think we saw a single unattractive girl. I've never actually spent enough time at LB or SLO (despite being from Long Beach and one of my best friends going to SLO) to personally know much about the people there.

In my nearly 4 years here I've only known 1 person who's actively complained about the girls here and only 1 who actively raves about all the girls here. The first is the pickiest dude I've met in my life and the second would sleep with anything that moves. The rest of us are in the middle and haven't really had trouble meeting or dating girls we like, and I've found most of my friends romantic choices to be pretty decent looking girls. So take that as it may.

heh. i never said they weren't attractive.

and yeah. really its not a big deal. at all.

This is true. It's also true that even the best players prefer to hunt in target rich locations.
To be able to score with someone hot, sure you need personality and game, but you also need targets and opportunities.

Also, even someone who has absolutely no hope of attracting a hot girl/guy and knows it would prefer to be around generally hot people, even if it's only for the sake of eye candy.

It's what everyone says all along in these types of threads. I sometimes wish people would just indulge the topic instead of being so eager to jump on the case of the stereotypical socially inept internet nerd.

Wow.. I am sure you guys will all find relatively "hot" girls and guys at UCLA.

Chill out :)

I don't think anyone was trying to jump on a stereotype. Its just that it's kind of a silly question. How are the girls? Well gee, I guess that depends on a lot of things.

I think the question was answered as adequately as possible. And its not that anyone was perpetuating or relying on stereotypes, but its pretty fundamental to the topic to suggest that one's own social status/standing makes a difference in their reception by the opposite sex. How else would you suggest people indulge the topic? The question is rather subjective and kind of silly in the first place, so really beyond saying "dude its up to you", realistically what else is there?

"How are the girls..."

Forget that. How are YOU?

But, didn't we all realize that this was a subjective question before we began trying to answer it?

Good question, Namaste.. :)

Yeah, but the question wasn't "how well will I be received by the girls" or "how can I attract girls." It was "how hot are the girls."
The OP wasn't asking for some sort of pick-up advice, he was just light heartedly asking about the general attractiveness of the female population.

I guess "stereotypical" was a loaded word. It wasn't even my main focus, the word could have totally been left out of my previous post and the point would have been the same.

...enough with the ugly, nerdy engineer stereoypes already...sheesh!
