Background: I'm a high school junior attending a private school. I decided to take AP Biology because at the end of my sophomore year I was still thinking about the possibility of majoring in biology, chemistry or even medical school. I was definitely wrong about this and am now leaning more towards business. I have always been a pretty solid student getting high B's and A's and involved with sports and playing an instrument as well.

The issue is that I'm not getting the grades that I want in the class. I am really fine with getting a high C as long as I have A's to balance my GPA out, but I don't. I am spending too much time on bio and not enough time on my other subjects and my other grades have began to slip into the B/- range. I have also had to pretty much stop playing my instrument and really stop playing sports and doing other things that I want and colleges want to see. I am really struggling on what to do. On one hand, I like bio and the class but I just can't seem to get it done when it comes to test day. I can get a tutor but that will just eat away at my other time to do other things. On the other hand I could possibly drop the course and consider taking something else in its place. If I did that I could drastically improve my grades, be able to play guitar again and sports.

I'm just not sure on what to do about this. It's almost like what looks worse; low to mid level B's and a C w/ a challenging AP course and some sports or the majority of my grades A's, guitar, and sports. Not to mention at this time I am preparing for SAT's.

Thanks a lot in advance.
