How badly did I screw up for med school?

Hi, I'm an incoming sophomore at UCSD. I'm a Human Biology major currently taking summer classes.

Needless to say, my GPA is very low right now: 2.35, to be exact. It happened for various reasons, but a lot of it was due to severe depression that set in during freshman year because I was unable to make the high-school-to-college transition well. Now, emotionally, I'm a lot better--but still very much struggling academically.

A lot of math-based courses are required for the human biology major (even med school in general, such as chemistry, physics, and calculus). The thing is, I AM TERRIBLE AT MATH! If I'm honest, I've had a very weak foundation in it since high school. It's a wonder I even passed Calc I with a C.

I realize that I now need to get straight A's, though my plan isn't to go to med school right after undergraduate (I want to get a master's first). As for the math thing... I really can't afford a tutor. I was not able to go to a lot of OHs this summer either due to scheduling conflicts (my calculus professor and TA made their OHs during my physics lecture/lab and vice versa). When I actually was able to ask questions, I was completely lost. Are there any recommendations of what course of action to take? Should I get books--do those help?

Thanks for any advice! I do realize my chances of med school are grim right now, but any info would be helpful. I really want to be able to go, but the math part is hindering me.
