How big are ap scores on college application?

Ap scores generally are for college credit and stuff but do they impact a lot on college acceptance? also, most of my ap classes are going to be in my senior year. So, will it look bad if I only have two scores when I apply to colleges this fall?
Thanks! any replies needed!!

They aren’t important. I don’t even think colleges see them. I got into UIUC college of business without any AP scores

^^ That’s completely wrong, they can definitely be important.

well, they can help you if you get an award like national ap scholar or if you have a ton of 5s or something.

Also, they can hurt you if you have like, a A in an AP class but only get a 2-3 on the exam. Because then, that makes it look like the AP class was a blow off class.
At least, I think…

i disagree. i feel they have minimal impact on college apps.

i got more than 10 5s on ap tests and i didnt get into places where people i know with 3s and 4s got into.

it might have an impact, but its not gonna save an otherwise unappealing application

They have very little impact on your application. The classes themselves count for more.

^^but you got into UPenn and Amherst.

I think it definitely gave your app at least a small boost! : )
