How big is your graduating class size?

@Apollo11‌ I go to a small public school in a rural part of CT with a rapidly decreasing population of young people and a rapidly increasing population of old people. Can’t wait to get out of here !!!

If you look at the rest of the thread there are people with less

@yayitsme123‌

Wow! I go to a small public school in rural CT with similar demographics as well…

@Apollo11‌

Oh hey! I don’t think we go to the same school though. If a girl at your school got into MIT this year and it was a big deal for like a week that was me though

Should be 450-550; medium-sized urban/suburban top public school.

650~700

@yayitsme123‌

Nah, not my school then, but congratulations! Are you looking forward to being a Beaver/Engineer?

@Apollo11‌ Thanks! I’m actually going to Carnegie Mellon which I am looking forward to immensely :)

@yayitsme123‌

Do you want to do Robotics there?

~537 plus about 100 IB kids, counted separately in class rank

@‌demorrin

Bartow?

@Apollo11‌ I haven’t decided between Electrical & Computer Engineering and Materials Engineering but either way I want to work in some Computer Science!

@yayitsme123‌

Well Carnegie Mellon certainly is the place to be then!

Is Pittsburgh a nice place though?

~180 kids. Good amount. Public School.

@Hawkace‌
Is it a small town or a magnet school?

@Apollo11‌ A small town, but it is a top notch school. We’re a top 10 school in one of the most competitive states in the nation.

@Hawkace‌

Sounds fun!

@Apollo11‌ Yeah Pittsburgh is really nice thanks!

My grade has 73 kids. I am in a really good public school though, not a private. Everybody assumes I’m in a private school though!
My younger sister (4th grader) has 93 kids, which is largest in the district.
And all the students in my high school put together is 393. All the students in the district doesn’t even equal 1000!

@dgsk42‌

In CT, a lot of towns combine to form one school since their grades are so small. Is that the case with your school?

@Apollo11‌

Well, my entire town has ~9000 people and all of those students are split into 5 school districts. One school’s graduating class is ~600 students so its split quite unevenly.
