how big of a reach?

Hey everyone. I'm wondering how much of a reach UCLA is for me. I'm instate, and here are my stats.

ACT: 31

AP's: Span- 5 Eng- 4 US History- 3

GPA:3.8 uc

ECs listed on app: football, track, was in 2 clubs, and work, and comm. service

Job/Work Experience: did finances that were really receipts at a family friend's company and also had a job there too

Essays (subject and responses): on two hardships that have come down on me the last 2 years, and my dealing w/ them, how they've made me a more mature person.

Teacher Recs: better than great

Counselor Rec: great

School Type: Private, does not rank

Ethnicity: Hispanic

Gender:M

Also: Took 3 summer courses at a local comm. college

thank you so much

slight reach. I had the sat ACT sscore as you but my weighted GPA was higher. I had pretty close to the same ECs as you a few clubs with like an outside activity on the weekend.(I got in btw) But I am also Asian it everything seems a lot harder to get in when your Asian.

btw, that's my UC gpa. that's the one they use i believe.. i hope..

yea thats the one they will use but have you seen the stats for UCLa i think it was like 40% of the nes getting in or something ahve a 4.0 or better(for UC GPA)

I would try to invest a lot of time trying to get your ACT to a 33 to a 34. Also recs aren't needed for UC apps.

Didn't you already post a while ago?

probably, i can't recall.

GSW Fan:

UCLA: Slight Reach

i would say match, u have good act and ur hispanic!~

does being hispanic really help me for ucla? like on a scale of 1-10

9ish probably. Asians have the ahrest time getting into good UCs.

tru dat!...even if ur half white half spanish...i say u just put down spanish only...it will help a lot
