I think I’m going to start to review when school starts. Isn’t the PSAT mid-October? So a little over a month ought to be plenty of time.

My school district is absolutely idiotic. Honors PreCal is weighted, but IB Math SL isn’t, because it doesn’t meet the requirements or something.

Yes, it’s in October, though I’m not sure on the exact date. That’s true, I think a month should be enough. That’s weird, but it seems like you or your school is more advanced, most 10th graders take Algebra 2.

I just checked and it looks like the dates for this year are October 14, and October 17. (Wed. and Sat. respectively.) We take them in school, so I’ll probably be taking them on October 14. Yippee.

I’m a year ahead in math, if that explains it. There are a couple of people in my grade two years ahead in math, but I did better than them on the math section of the PSAT last year. Which is odd, because at that point I only had a month and a half of Algebra II under my belt, so I’m hoping that I’ll do considerably better this time.

Do you just miss your classes for that day then? That makes sense, I have a few friends that are a year ahead as well. I’m sure you will do fine then, and that’s comforting to know:)

No, they readjust our entire schedule, because 3/4 of the classes need to take them. I don’t know what the seniors get to do, but it’s probably just free time or something.

I’m assuming our school didn’t do that. Even if they did, I know a couple of seniors probably would’ve still stuck around because they had to bring a younger sibling to school… We had to take state standardized tests, though; and they didn’t get to leave for those.

That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard of. Honestly. I think for the most part, our seniors don’t cut too many classes on account of the fact they need to test for IB, but they’ll usually take a couple of periods of assigned time home.

That would make sense. There is a mix of seniors at my school, some are academically focused, others are not. It’s a large school so I assume we get a diverse group of people.

Yeah, it’s odd because even though we have IB at our school, there are a lot of IB Diploma candidates that aren’t even that academically focused. Out of all the people that would be, some of them aren’t.

My idiot-boss just fired every intern (except me and Saktish or whatever his name is) who’s building his new stupid turnkey website because he was too cheap to pay them…and now has nobody to make it.
Genius move.

That is weird. I think that my school provides us with options. You can do as well or as poorly as you want, it’s a choice. I’ve had some seniors in my biology and chemistry classes, but I have also heard of people taking 7 AP classes, so it varies. Sorry Plattsburgh:(

Our school gives you the option to go IB or not, but if you do go IB you have to jump through all these hoops, but in the end, if you don’t know the material and you don’t pass the IB tests, then you’re still not going to get your diploma. Which is why it makes no sense to me for someone to declare that they’ll go IB and not be focused.

Lol, I read “turnkey” as “turkey” at first. Your boss seems like a winner.

Edit: To summarize for WantsBrown:
Basically we’ve been talking about school and other random stuff.
