how can a HK STUDENT stand out?

I'm currently a junior studying in HK, and am getting freaked out about the asian stereotyping in college admissions etc. I am studying in a (rich) international school which sends off about 4/5 students to Ivies each year, and our school uses the IB Program.

For my IB Diploma my courses are:
Highers:
Math
Physics
Chemistry
Chinese B
Standards:
Economics
English A1

So I've taken the obvious asian route of double sciences and math.

My ECs (this year as a junior)
President of ORBIS Team (ORBIS Ambassador)
Ambassador of Changing Young Lives Foundation (every sat/sun I teach underprivileged children in HK arts, music etc.)
Global Initiatives Group (our school is hosting the Global Initiatives Conference this year; am in the core planning team.)
Badminton Team
Model United Nations
Rotary "Hand-in-Hand" (teaching local children)

Outside School
Ice-skating (with certificates)
Grade 8 Piano Certificate
Clarinet
Art for 10+ years

How would I distinguish myself from all the Asians? I was thinking of steering away from the math/physics/chemistry by talking about how I liked to be active in global issues, and also how art has influenced me.

Ideas? Thanks

Just to clarify

As our school uses MYP/IB program, we do not have GPAs and we do not rank.

I can safely say that I at least top 5 in a year of 120 people. Our school is pretty competitive and we’re ranked #1 international school in Hong Kong. Many of my classmates are ‘connected’ but I am not.

For MYP, my final results were 60/63, downfalls being the languages (chinese and english) and film.

bump…!

maybe you can stand out by focusing your essays and recommendations on your ECs. but that’s assuming you already have stellar sat scores.
